There are extraordinarily thoughtful and insightful postings throughout the blogoshpere, more than anyone can possible read in a day. But, I read many and often find myself compelled to leave feedback and comment. Much of what catches my attention is religiously or politically charged and often accompanied by polarizing debate. I try to craft all my comments with professionalism and fairness, both to the author and fellow commentors. My assumption is that one is never truly 'anonymous' and may, one day, find themselves discussing or defending their bloggings with their true identity revealed.
However, it does seem right to adopt a blog identity (other than one's own name), to separate a more frank and candid discussion from the subtle constraints of home, work and friends.
Though unknown, I'm anonymous, no more.
